Hello,
I had a bearded dragon dropped off to me and am wondering if he seems underweight. I'm pretty sure he is dehydrated too, his old home never seemed to have any water available for him at all and he was never given any greens or fruits. Also did not have UVB lighting at all in his old home. Any signs of MBD as well?
I believe he is approximately 2 years old.

If that dragon is 2 years old that is terrible!! What have you gotten for him as far as lighting and he needs this ASAP ---- PLEASE NO COILS------ he needs a 24" fixture for a 40 + gallon tank - either a Zoo Med -- Sunblaster or Arcadia -- here are some links to the UVB
https://www.pangeareptile.com/store/arcadia-prot5-uvb-kit.html 24" fixture w/ a 12% bulb
https://www.amazon.com/Reptisun-T5-Ho-Terrarium-Hood/dp/B00CX5HXI2/ref=sr_1_16?crid=10MOF7XP7LFKS&dchild=1&keywords=zoo+med+reptisun+10.0+ho+t5+uvb+lamp%2C+24+w%2C+22%22+l&qid=1626353184&sprefix=Zoo+Med+24%22+UVB+%2Caps%2C211&sr=8-16 this comes w / a 5.0 bulb you will need a 22" Reptisun 10.0 T 5 bulb
https://www.amazon.com/Sunblaster-Output-Fluorescent-Strip-2-Feet/dp/B00AKKULI6 get a Reptisun 10.0 T 5 bulb
you will need a bright white basking bulb -- NO colored or off white or yellowish bulbs
https://www.petsmart.com/reptile/environmental-control-and-lighting/exo-terra-intense-basking-spot-light-14809.html?cgid=500202
All this stuff I just posted is imperative to the survival of this dragon ---- I would get this stuff ASAP--- the dragon needs to be fed salads every morning http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html ignore the kale thing its a good staple feeder -- he needs a good staple feeder like dubia roaches you can get them from here http://www.dubiaroches.com do not feed insects bigger than the space between the eyes length wise - you can use this code they are having a sale on now use this code JULY42021
insects need to be dusted w/ calcium D3 5 x per week ONCE per feeding and vitamins w/ beta carotene 2 x per week ONCE per feeding -- lightly coated
basking temps should be 95-100 for adult / juvie but he is so small I thought he was more or less a baby --- please get him on a good diet and good temps w/ good UVB ASAP--- my guess is hes had no UVB for 2 years hes got MBD just not showing it yet and I am surprised he isnt showing it

Thank you so much for your help and all these links. I'm going to order the appropriate lights now! I currently had some bulbs at home unused that I gave to him for now because I knew he needed the uvb asap. I also have a 100 watt white basking bulb I picked up from my local pet store, and luckily have all the calcium and vitamins needed at home for my other repties. I'll grab him a thermometer in the morning! I picked him up a 55 gallon tank from somebody who happened to be giving one away down the road! I also have some sticks so he can bask by the lights, a hide and a dish for him to drink/sit in. I have been having him soak for about 10-15 minutes in the bath every other day to help with hydration and getting some stuck shed he now has on his tail.
I also just found out he is actually older, I genuinely don't know how he is still alive ?. I haven't had any success getting him to eat any sort of vegetables, ive tried to mix his insects with it but he avoids anything colored haha. He has been eating very well since he arrived insect wise though. Should I blend the vegetables up and try to feed him with a syringe or is that necessary?

Order him some BSFL www.symtonbsf.com they are a great staple feeder - order large DO NOT DUST them they are high in calcium-- use those to lure him to the salad bowl - add those in front of him so it gets his attention -- you can also get him some silk worms they are another staple feeder and they STICK to everything put those in the salad bowl too -- please lay off the baths they dont need that many and it will dry the scales out --- post a pic of the stuck shed and we can get some more help w/ that --- dragons mainly get their hydration thru the greens so you can rinse them before serving but we need to get him to start eating some even a little bit --- try mixing the greens up you need to find out what he likes -- collards / turnip mustard/ kale or kale / collards etc- if you can find some dandelion greens a lot of dragons really like those -- hornworms are a good hydrating worm but grow very fast so if you get them order small amounts and you can feed like 2 at a time -- when you get the UVB post back on here I will help you get it set up in the tank

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
