Bearded dragons tail is discolored please help

My bearded dragon is about 6 months old and his tail has a point in it where it goes from his natural colors to just grey but I can see the pattern all the way down his tail so I don’t think it’s tail rot can any one help?

Hello,

Do you have any pictures of the tail? It sounds like might be getting ready to shed his tail.
A picture would be great when you can get one posted.
Does he have a normal appetite right now?
