So i have had my beardie for about 3 months now and it has been walking really strangely, i gave it calcium and uvb but the problem did not go away, in fact it got worse now he has trouble moving and his legs are always tucked in under his belly, is this a sign of mbd or any other bone disease? Please let me know if you have an answer it would be much appreciated i can also send you a photo if you want

What are you using for a UVB? Please NO coils they are inadequate ---- basking temps ? What are they and how are you taking them? NO stick ons they are inaccurate -
I am guessing it sounds like MBD but we will be able to tell w/ a pic ---

Please tell me the brand and bulb for the UVB --- this is very important for the correct placement and distance for your dragon --- please get a digital probe thermometer ASAP-- another thing that is crucial in the tank --- I am flagging post to some on here that are better at identifying the issue-- can you post pics of the whole body as well please

Hi there, it's possibly MBD but could be other neurological problems. Proper heat, uvb light + calcium supplementation are all critical and will help if this is MBD . But if it's not, you'll have to see a qualified reptile vet. I hope you're pretty dragon will be O.K. !

please get a digital probe thermometer -- https://www.petsmart.com/reptile/environmental-control-and-lighting/zoo-med-reptile-terrarium-digital-thermometer-14914.html?cgid=500202 you need this ASAP
The UVB is a tube or coil ? NO coils please they are inadequate and if it is a coil you need to get rid of it ASAP- she is only getting worse under that UVB you need this for a 40 + gallon tank a 24" fixture this will come w/ a 5.0 bulb hang on to it for a back up distance and placement is different from the one you need for her 22" https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/zoo-med-reptisun-100-uvb-t5-ho-lamp-24-watts So I had to go to several websites to find this bulb --- I do not know if Petco sells the hoods and after doing a search they dont---- so you can go here and get this fixture it is a great fixture and comes w/a bulb Arcadias are one of the best on the market besides what I have posted or you can do a search on Amazon the website I am going to post these people are really good and fast and reasonable on shipping
https://www.pangeareptile.com/store/arcadia-prot5-uvb-kit.html 24" fixture w/ the Arcadia 12% Desert bulb it is similar to the T 5 I posted ---- please get this or UVB ASAP--- I will help you get it placed in your tank just let me know when it comes in --- but your dragon needs this if your using a coil -------- she looks thin

Hello,

He is a very pretty dragon. As suggested, it is possible that it could be a neurological
issue but most likely it will end up being a metabolic bone disease problem.
Your UVB light is a long tube bulb or a compact/coil light?
What type of calcium have you been giving, liquid or powder?
Is he able to eat on his own very well?
We will help as much as we can. Right now, the most important thing for him is the UVB
type & quality as well as the nutritional intake for him.
In case he is suffering from metabolic bone disease, be sure his basking areas are not too
high to where he can fall & hurt himself.

You want a tube light but I need to know what brand of tube and the bulb ---- is it a T 5 or a T 8 please look on the bulb itself it will tell you look for T 5 or T 8 -- there is placement and distance for these two bulb and that is crucial for UVB rays -- and yes you want a tube NO coils of anything -- make sure your dusting those insects 5 x per week ONCE per feeding w/ your calcium D3 and the vitamins w/ beta carotene 2 x per week ONCE per feeding

please get the T 5 inside the tank for her -- its going to do her best since shes dealing / MBD-- have the bulb directly above her w/ a distance of 12-15 inches --- you can hang w/ these
3 M command Velcro fasteners- picture hanging wire –long plastic zip ties- fishing line-- potted plant wire hangers or this stuff I use it works great -- its like a Velcro strap cut into strips and wrap around your fixture https://www.homedepot.com/p/GE-15-ft-Cable-Ties-Hook-and-Loop-Spool-Black-10375/304220195

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
