Brief prolapse

I have a male bearded dragon that is 6-7 months old. I noticed today, that he had not really pooped, so I decided to give him a bath to try and help him along. Almost immediately, he began to strain and pass stool, but he also seemed to slip some of his internal organs through his Cloaca. Luckily, these organs seemed to recede back inside almost immediately, and he seemed fine afterwards, but it was still a shock for me, as I have never had to deal with anything like this for any of my other reptiles.

His diet mainly consists of phoenix worms, carrots, and peas, which are all high in fiber if I am not mistaken. Am I giving him too much fiber, or is there an underlying medical condition that could be to blame? Is there anything I can do to keep this from happening again? I have fallen on hard times recently, and I would rather avoid having to pay for a veterinary visit if it can be avoided.

Hi there, it was most likely one of his hemipenes popping out a little. This can happen at times and is not harmful so no need to worry. :) Be sure to keep him well hydrated though. Post back if it pops out but doesn't go back in.

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
