My bearded dragon is about four years old and brumates every single winter. Usually, he goes into a full brumation where he will go into his hide and sleep for a few months before emerging on his own. For the past two months, he's been displaying all his typical brumation behaviors - not eating, sleeping most of the day, etc. - but he's not gone into his hide and seems to move to a new spot in the tank every single day.
Normally, I would just suspect he wasn't going into full brumation this year as he's been displaying these behaviors for the past few months. But he's lost an exorbitant amount of weight. He is much skinnier than normal, the fat pads on his head are completely sunken in, and his eyes are much more sunken in than normal as well. He's never lost this much weight during a brumation before. He will drink when I put him in the bath, but he won't even look at any form of food.
Am I incorrect in assuming this isn't normal?
