Hello!
I’m a first time beardie owner. Ozzy is right now a 6 month old dragon, he weighs 242grams and is 47cm. I live in Estonia ( for those who do not know, it’s in northern-eastern Europe) and it’s starting to get really dark and cold here. I know about brumation but have read that 6 months is too young to start brumating. Now for the past 2-3 weeks Ozzy has started to sleep more and more daily or just resting. He would just lay somewhere with eyes open. Then again some days he will move around just fine. For the food, he hasn’t touched his greens for 2 weeks atleast and will only accept 3-5 dubias a day or some worms. And that’s it. Pooping has also changed, he used to poop every day but now he will poop like once in 2-3 days. He also hasn’t shed for over a month, I think the last time he was shedding was in the beggining of September. We took him to the vet about a month ago but everything seemed fine to the vet. Is he going into brumation or is there something else wrong? What do you guys think, is he too young and should I stop him or should I let him go sleeping?

Unless hes really big he should not be going into brumation --- the lighting in the tank is the most crucial thing ----- what are his basking temps and how are you taking them? the UVB is what brand and what bulb? NO coils!!! they are inadequate--- if you can post a pic of the tank and his lighting

Here are some pictures. I’m not quite sure what kind of UVB there is because the breeder I bought him from set up his cage himself with all the lighting and stuff. His basking temp is around 45C. At night time the temperature in cage is 28C.

Ok the fixture looks like it has a reflector which is good-- if you look on the bulb where the brand and bulb is look for a T 8 or T 5 on it- placement of UVB is crucial for bulb - it looks good just want to make sure- he looks good - it could be the weather making him a lazy dragon----- I would get a weight on him and keep track of it--- weigh him on a food scale in grams-- you don't want him dropping a lot of weight-

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
