New beardie baby isn’t eating or pooping

So for a very long time I have been wanting and dreaming of having a bearded dragon. I’ve done research on them forever it seems. I finally decided to get one. I had everything set up to a 20 gallon on Friday and moved him in, but I was talking to someone and I decided I should get a 40 gallon and take the 20 back. I figured the 40 will last a little longer than a 20. So I fix the 40 gallon up Saturday and after everything had been running for awhile I moved him in.
So I know he’s been moved twice now so he’s probably stressed out. My concern is that he hasn’t pooped and he has barely eaten. He ate 2 or 3 crickets friday, and 2 wax worms Saturday night, but nothing since. Everyday i make sure there’s a nice salad for him which contains kale, carrot, and apple. Today i added a little banana since it seems to peek his interest. He probably won’t mess with the salad but it’s there. He’s given a banana like two licks but that’s the most he’s done today. I mist him once a day because he doesn’t mess with his water dish, and I gave him a warm bath last night hoping it would move his stomach along and maybe make some room, but he still hasn’t pooped and he hasn’t eaten. He did scratch his face after the bath so In a way I’m hoping he’s not eating because of shedding, but he hasn’t scratched since then, that I’ve noticed anyway. I know new baby beardies won’t eat when stressed and since he’s not eating much that may be why he’s not pooping, but as a new dragon mom I’m still freaking out. Also he moves around fine (doesn’t drag himself) and I try not to mess with him too much unless to put him in his feeding tub, but he has snuggled on my neck after his bath, and he doesn’t mind chilling on my hand. Idk how long babies can last without pooping or food so I’m really concerned. I’m really sorry for the long post I’m just trying to give all the info I can.

It may take more time for him to settle, but it sounds like he could be just between growth spurts or about to shed as you mentioned. It sounds like he is alert and curious which is a good sign. I would keep offering food and be patient with him for now.

If you'd like us to review your setup to make sure everything is just right for him, you can upload photos here https://www.beardeddragon.org/useruploads/ and post them to your thread using the XIMG button when you reply. If you include details about surface temperatures around the enclosure and which lights you have set up that would be helpful.

Here’s his tank, I hope I uploaded it right. He’s in a 40 gal. The uvb is mounted inside the tank and his basking lamp is on the top. The uvb is the reptisun 10.0 T8, and his lamp is 150w exo terra. I originally had a 100w but the highest the temp went was 94-96 so I decided to get the 150w even though I was worried it was too much but it’s perfect since he’s a baby and needs higher heat. His basking side seems to range from 100-105 and his cool side from 77-80. I have the two hygrometers that also show temps on the back of his tank, but I also have two probe temp readers as well on each side. Thank you so much for responding so quickly!

Beardie name(s)
Hiccup he is 6 and Blaze is 4
Please put a piece of decor approx 6-8 inches below the UVB ---- NO plastic cover over the bulb --- it needs to exposed for benefit of rays

Your surface temps are good. As mentioned, you want to try to get the basking area closer to the t8 (6-8'') by either lowering the light or raising the basking area (this could be done my moving the furniture around perhaps). Otherwise I would change the T8 out with a T5 fixture and use an Arcadia 12% or ReptiSun 10.0 T5 bulb which would increase optimal UVB output to around 12-14'' from the bulb. Your setup looks really good in general though, so I'd consider that an optimization and his appetite is likely just timing.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
