Gobi only gained 1 gram this week. He hasn’t ate quite as much, but he’s had a few pieces of small shed come off his face. Could he be getting ready to shed? Does that explain the 1g weight gain?

1g up or down isn't a huge deal. A poop or a meal could account for that. Their growth tends to come in spurts so keep tracking weight over time. You can enter the readings into a spreadsheet then create a graph with a trendline so you can see the progress over a longer period.
