Properly cleaning for pinworms

Postby Littlebuddysmomma » Wed Jul 15, 2020 12:05 pm

I found out today that Cookie has pinworms. I just got back from picking her meds up from the vet, and now I’m wondering what I can use to disinfect her tank while she’s being treated.

I plan to remove everything from her enclosure and soak all furnishings, and also replace her reptile carpet with paper towels to be changed out daily. Should I use bleach diluted with water for soaking/wiping down? I read somewhere that bleach doesn’t kill pinworms so just hoping for some clarification. I use a Chlorhexadine 2% solution for regular cleanings, but I’m worried it’s not strong enough for pinworms?

F10 or Zoo Meds Wipe Out -- ... SwcUBYMuwP ... gKN9_D_BwE
I would go w/ the F10 --- if you do get it make sure you leave on for 10 minutes and wipe out w/ water afterwards - you can rinse the furnishings w/ water in the sink if the are washable
