New beardie has tummy ache

Hello! I just brought home a new Adult beardie. His name is Pascal and ive had him for two days. His last owner couldnt take care of him anymore. This is my first beardie and while I did do a TON Of research, im a bit confused on what to do here.

The first night and second day and night was great! He was eating well, I made him a salad with lots of dandelion greens, some squash, and strawberries. Aswell as crickets and it was dusted with calcium powder. I know while he was at the local pet store that was taking care of him he was only really fed mealworms and frozen veggies (no leafy greens) i also gave him a couple hornworms yesterday cause he needed a bath.

When I woke up this morning he had very watery stool. Some of the food was not digested all the way. The color was normal and everything it was just very watery. He shows no signs of an unhealthy dragon from what I see, so I was wondering what couldve caused this?

Was it the stress of moving? Maybe the new food? Too many treats?

If anyone can help it would be very appreciated Ive only had him for a couple days but I’m absolutely in love and am very worried.

Ok hes going thru relocation stress that is normal - it could be that and the fact you gave him horn worms --- they are a hydrating worm so that is a cause as well - the undigested food tells me his basking temps are not high enough -- his basking temps should be 95-110 taken w/ a digital probe thermometer - NO stick ons!! Please tell me what your using for a UVB ---- brand and bulb --- coil or tube? Where in the tank is it top of screen or inside the tank ?

Thank you so so much for replying. I do use a stick on cause thats all I saw, but I will look for a probe one! The stick on says its in the low to mid 90’s so I guess it is a bit low. For a uvb I’m just using the one they gave me with him. I dont know the brand or anything. It kinda just looks like a normal bulb I guess? The basking light and the uvb are ontop.

What would you recommend for bringing the temp up a bit ?

Post a pic of that UVB I am thinking its a coil it looks like this https://www.petsmart.com/reptile/environmental-control-and-lighting/zoo-med-reptisun-10.0-uvb-mini-compact-fluorescent-bulb-16227.html?cgid=500202
also you can get this at petsmart or petco https://www.petsmart.com/reptile/environmental-control-and-lighting/zoo-med-reptile-terrarium-digital-thermometer-14914.html?cgid=500202
before you do anything w/ the basking bulb we need to figure out temps if the stick on says 90 that is ambient temp- we need actual basking temps so when you get the probe take and place it on his spot where he basks for 10 minutes get the temp we will go from there

Okay! I will definitely look into that! Is there anything I should avoid feeding him for the time being? He is still eating anything that moves and is very active and alert.

Continue to feed him his salads do you have the nutrition website? If not I can give it to you- but you need to get an actual basking temp and the UVB info - please post what it is-- this lighting I am asking about is crucial to your dragons health

Im going to get the stuff you sent me so I can give that to you. I cant leave the house until tomorrow morning though because of car issues. Is that okay? Should I try to find a ride now? Will he be okay for one more night? MY house stays at 75-80 degrees. I dont think I have the nutrition website? I have a very large list of things he can and cant have though

This is what he came with.

The other bulb was a red basking bulb but I immediately switched that out

Can you take it out and tell me what the brand and bulb is --it may be a ALL In One - look for the wattage and brand on it too -- so you need to get him a UVB ASAP-- I am going to post what you need to get for a UVB - I am thinking that the bulb you have is expired most expire in 6 months or a year -- but you need to get your lighting fixed and current - so either look at your petstore or you can order on line -- these people I am sending you to are fast and good and shipping is $7 -- go here and either get this https://www.pangeareptile.com/store/t5-uvb-light-fixture.html do not use the bulb this comes w/ it is not for reptiles or you can get this one
https://www.pangeareptile.com/store/zoo-med-reptisun-t5-ho-terrarium-hood.html you want a 24" - it comes w/ a 5.0 bulb that is not strong enough but it can be used as a back up if you ever need it and you need to order this bulb
https://www.pangeareptile.com/store/zoo-med-reptisun-10.0-uvb-t5.html order the 22" bulb -- this can sit on top of your tank - the bulb is good for a year or so it will need to be change out in approx one year --
Next you need to get the digital probe thermometer so when you change the basking bulb out you have it on hand you dont want to burn him up -- I would start w/ a 100 watt and they look like this

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
