Is Anyone Archiving Growth Charts?

I see questions coming up from time to time (quite often, actually) about growth charts--generally from folks what want to know how their beardie is doing in relation to others. The caveat of course is that BDs (like humans and other animals) are individuals, and have different genetics and other factors that affect ranges of size/growth, so comparing one's dragon against a few others really isn't helpful/meaningful.

Nevertheless, advice is given to--and people do--chart their own dragon's progress.

Looking through the archives and on the web, many people have posted growth charts for their dragons. My question then is, is anyone collecting/charting this data for a large(r) sampling that might be helpful/useful to those asking the question? If not, would it make sense to anchor a thread where people could post their growth charts (and to avoid noise/static, perhaps another for discussion of said charts)?

If anyone is undertaking such a project, here's ZaRDoZ' (so far), which I can update periodically if that's desirable/useful.

I wanted to with Charlie but, he had other plans (very uncooperative little turd), LOL! This would have involved stitches and, a lot of bandaids. So I opted not to do so out of survival, LOL!!!

Hiccup he is 6 and Blaze is 4
I keep charts on mine just so I can keep track of them in the winter and when they pooped last - Hiccup has been more regular lately last fall / winter he was way off and wasnt pooping for like months - this winter hes been pretty good - and hes eating his veggies now too of which I am really pleased - Blaze hes right on w/ everything - eating pooping etc........

Done grow charts on all my skinks and dragons. Some are up on this board.

I don't bother with length growth charts , as some have had nipped tails , if you do length growth charts , only measurement that's useful is vent to snout.

I can very much relate to that. Yesterday, I was somehow able to sneak up on him while he was basking, and once I get ahold (control) of him, things weren't too bad. I was able to stuff him into his weighing box and get the lid shut, then weigh the tared box.

Unfortunately, I forgot to measure him when I had him out, so after waiting a while for him to calm down, I went in after him again, and/but he wasn't having any. "No you don't, you @#$%^&*!--you're not stuffing me in that box again!" Actually, I only need to hold him in one hand and straighten his tail out against the ruler, but he wasn't having any of that either, so I had to resort to the "pizza paddle" method.

Y'know, it never even occurred to me to track poop, but I've never had a reason to. He's missed only twice since I've had him, and both were days after fasting to entice him to eat greens. I guess I'd also consider that more tracking health/symptoms than growth (unless you're tracking the size of... nevermind. I have thought of re/nicknaming him Drax.
I also don't know of any reliably objective way of scoring "stinkiness". :laughhard:

Mr Spectrum how old is your dragon?

 Did you not read the last line of the chart? 22 weeks this weekend is as close as I can guess; the breeder didn't give us an exact hatching date, but from the average size of the clutch, we figured he was ~6 weeks at the beginning of the chart when we brought him home from the reptile show.

NOW he tells me. Too late!
Everything I'd read had always talked about snout to tail, e.g. bearded dragon length, and his tail is intact. Most of the other charts I've seen have also recorded snout to tail.

It'd make him a lot shorter, though!

Is this because of a nipped tail? Or is snout to tail considered a standard?

Snout to vent is considered a standard ,where snout to tailtip is unreliable , lots of dragons and monitors have nipped tails, and with skinks and geckos ( sometimes tails are dropped and can be regrowing or regrown ( regrown tails are rearly as long as "original issue" tails).

Ofcourse, that makes sense. I just started a growth chart. I will be changing this on my next update.
I think I'll keep the tail measurement, as her tale is intact, but add the vent to snout measurement, thank you.

I understand. Having always had pets, I've just gotten into the habit of, "If it ain't sick/irregular, don't sweat it." If he started going multiple times a day--or missed more than a day--or had diarrhea, blood, etc--I'd record that, and keep a closer eye or call a friend. So far, everything (not reported/asked about here) has been fine. :) (Knock wood!)

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
