Help!

My bearded dragon Pancake had a strange/worrying BM today.

I've only seen her eat once over the past week and this was her poop today

She hasn't had any issues before so could this be stress? I did get two more dragons over the weekend.

I also read it might be a parasite? Please help

Well that is the strangest poop I have seen --- what did she eat? It looks like pencil lead--

I haven't seen one like that before either. Very strange. It looks dangerously dry. I would certainly offer drops of water on her nose to lick up and offer some soft hydrating foods, maybe even some baby food squash, and see if that helps.

I think the 'sticks' might be substrate. Poo is reddish looking. Just my opinion.

If she's eating her substrate you need to get rid of it--- textured non adhesive shelf liner-- or textured ceramic tile

Of course I may be wrong but I suspect when she tried to get the poo with a paper towel, she got a few pieces of the substrate at the same time.
OP - let us know please, it's very confusing. ?

Hi all,

Apologies for any confusion I may have caused.

Pancake did have pellets as substrate which I removed yesterday just in case it may be a parasite. She never ate any of her substrate so I'm not sure why poop would be red/pink.

She hasn't been eating much lately so I've resorted to mixing liquid calcium with water and drop that on her nose every other day. She also takes baths with electrolyte mix to help with vitamins and probiotics as well

You said she hadn't eaten much the week prior, did she have anything red? Like strawberry, raspberry? I've seen strange colors with Petey because of something he ate. Just wondered if that may have happened.

I haven't offered anything red, unless there was fruit or something in the Omnivore mix I had tried out.

She prefers collard greens over everything else so that usually what I give her. Sometimes I'll add mustard greens and cucumber for variety but she doesn't really like fruit.

It's possible she could be stressed out a bit since I brought home new dragons last week but I wasn't sure that would effect poop color.

It's also been pretty cold and foggy the past 2 weeks. Maybe she's trying to brumate again?

Thank you all

Also, her favorite protein is dubias and superworms.
She did have crickets 2 weeks ago but didn't eat as many as expectes.

Has she had another poo since then? If it was ME I'd wait to see what the next 1 or 2 looks like. If they are back to normal, I wouldn't be concerned. But that's me!

No. That poop was yesterday, and she hasn't ate since Monday. She will sit and stare at her food moving but won't actually go near or eat it.

Our night time temps right now are 40 and today the high will be 79. Our bedroom never goes below 70, got a space heater to be sure.

Get a weight on her and keep track of it- w/ her not eating and stools looking like that you need to find out what is going on --

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
