I've been trying to get 7-8 month old Figment to eat more of his salads by cutting back on the number of insect meals he gets. He used to get plenty of bugs every day, but over the past few weeks I've gradually cut back to insects only 2-3 times a week, and even then in limited amounts.
My concern is that since he's been eating more veggies - arugula, dandelion greens, turnip greens, yellow squash, and carrot shreds - his stools have gone from fairly normal looking (I posted once before about his poops being "mounds" rather than "logs" since going over to dubias) to very, very liquid, though generally with some solid-ish matter in it.
He had a fecal test just before Christmas that came back clear of parasites. Nothing else has changed in his habitat, which I've had approved by the forum when I got it set up.
My question is, what could be causing these runny stools, and should I be concerned? When he has his insects they firm right back up.
I really want him eating more salad (and yes, I've tried putting worms or bugs in the salad - he's very good at picking them out) but I don't want to be risking his health with stools that are so runny. Help, please?
