Bleeding scales?

Hi,
This is the first time I've been concerned about my bearded dragon- he seems to have some stuck shed on his tail and some of his scales seem to be bleeding. He doesn't seem to be affected by it at all (still moving around, being active, and eating), but I don't know if there is something majorly wrong. I am going to call the vet tomorrow, but is there anything else I can do to help him?

Yes, some photos would be helpful. Generally if there is an open wound you want to try to keep it as clean as possible. Applying an antibiotic cream such as plain neosporin may be a good idea too.

That doesn't actually look too bad. Hopefully the shed will break loose soon. You can try to soften the skin a bit by applying some plain aloe and see if that helps.

Thanks, everyone! I am going to give him some Neosporin and see if that helps.

Hi there, it doesn't look bad really, looks like his tail is going to shed soon [ but can be weeks from now ] but that one spot got rubbed off. Did you by chance pull that piece off ?

Hello,

I agree, that doesn't look too bad. Were you able to get some antibiotic ointment to put on it?
You can also try using some raw, unpasteurized honey or manuka honey too. It is highly
effective for wounds.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
