Fungus??

I was wondering if this looks like a fungus on my hearded dragons face? It started out about a week ago where his face just looked a little darker on this one side. Now it's like the scales are missing in one spot, and his eye is swollen. He can open it more than in this picture though. It also looks like his whole ear is clogged in this side. He is eating fine and still very active.

I would get him in to the vet and have it checked out -- in case you dont have one here is a website you can find one in your area -- www.https://arav.org/---

Hi there,

I agree, getting him to the vet would be the best course of action. It looks like it's starting to eat away at the area. It could be fungus, it could also be an infection. So it really isn't something that can be dealt with at home.

Vet told me it was an ear infection and has him on baytril and meloxicam. Hopefully that's what it is and he will start to heal!
