How to hydrate?

Hello, my beardie's about 9-10 months old and I noticed he's been getting a little wrinkly. I know this is a sign that they're not as hydrated as they should be but I just want to know what I can do to hydrate him as much as I can. I mist him about 4-5 times a week, I try to gove him water through a syringe (which he only drinks sometimes).
I leave a bowl of kale and I spray it with water before I put it in his tank, and I leave a water bowl in there as well. People have told me to let him drink from the bath (I bathe him about 2-3 times a week) but I bathe him in the sink and I don't want him drinking all the chemicals in the water. It also worries me because he occasionally has hard urates. I just wanna know what I can do to help him out. Thank you!

They will drink when they are thirsty--- wrinkly skin doesnt necessarily mean hes dyhadrated--- I would give him a varied diet--- add different greens like turnip or mustard or collard greens --- are you feeding any insects---? Unless hes running thru his poop and smelling you dont need to bath him as often --- once a week would be good - since its brumation time I have been giving mine a bath once a week since hes eating has slowed down and I dont want him dehydrated as well -here is a website for nutrition http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html

He is currently eating kale, dubias, mealies, phoenixs, and occasional waxworms. I've tried to mix collards with his kale, but he's only favored the kale. Ill try to mix in some other greens as well. Thank you!

Hi there,

Wrinkly skin, like stated, is not a viable method of knowing hydration levels. The only real way you have asuu home is to watch the urates. If they are semi soft and white, typically hydration is fine.

If they are hard and chalky or discolored, that could be a sign that extra hydration is needed.

How do his look?

Hey Brandon, his urates have been very white, no discoloration, it's not yellow or any other color. But they are hard. Not chalk like, but take a bit of pressure to break up with a Qtip. I usually look through his poops with a Qtip to make sure he's digesting everything.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
