So my bearded dragon, Skrt, has been acting a little weird lately. She stays at my boyfriend’s house, and she’s been staying under her rock for days. She will occasionally come out, but we thought it best to just leave her alone. Is she brumating even though it’s august and hot? I’m confused, I thought it was for the cold months...
My boyfriend went out of town, so Skrt is staying with me. I noticed her eyes are watery. Like she has tears. She’s been drinking plenty of water and eating regularly, and hasn’t been hiding under her rock. Around her eyes are getting kind of crusty, and I can’t tell if it’s just shedding or not. She usually wouldn’t shed ONLY on her eyes.
Also, I was watching her sleep, and her mouth is slightly open. Like not like she’s basking, but just barely cracked.

PLEASE HELP. I don’t know if these are all just coincidences or if I should really be worried! She’s my first beardie and I don’t know much about their health problems.

Eye problems can usually be attributed to improper lighting or something getting in them such as sand if you use sand.

Can you go over your lighting setup with us and be specific? Brand and type of uvb bulb?
Are you using a bulb at night?

Can you post a picture of your setup and of skrt for us?

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
