Hi, for the few last weeks, my female dragon has scales under her chin staying black. Early in May, she laid 3 eggs. I took her to the vet and had her x-rayed and a fecal. Her fecal was good and the x-ray was not showing any more eggs. She did not have the black scales yet. However, she did lay one egg the first weekend in June. She is not shedding.

She is eating well and does not appear distressed - however, some of the scales on her beard remain black. I am not sure this is because of the eggs, hormones ??? Or maybe she is not comfortable - I do not know. Any help will be appreciated. Her lights are Reptile Sun or Arcadia 22in tubes, I have a UVB meter. The temps are like 100 F on the hot side and 80 on the cool side. She is three years old and the first time she laid eggs.

Based on that photo it does look like some of the scales along her beard are getting ready to shed. If that's the case I don't think theres anything to be concerned with.

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
