Hello! New beardie momma here. I’m so unsure what to do and of course it’s a holiday weekend. I have a male, 8 month old. He has not been feeling well since late March ish (can’t remember the exact date) so I took him to the vet. She is NOT a specialist, the only specialist here is 90 miles away. The vet I saw took xrays, did a fecal and drew blood. Blood and fecal were normal. We sent the xrays to an exotic specialist and suspected pneumonia. He has been on antibiotics but hasn’t really perked up. Some days he will eat a bite or two of greens but won’t eat bugs. Today he stayed in his hide and didn’t come out.

He lives in a 40 gallon tank. He has a T5 ho 10.0 uvb light, a 100 watt basking light. Tank temp is around 80, basking spot is 101. Both bulbs are less than 3 months old.

I don’t know what to do for him, I’m so lost! Does anyone have any ideas of anything I can do or try for him?

<<< what meds exactly were prescribed and how were these administered and for how long ?
<<< have you been sterilizing his tank (how)?
<<< were you told to keep his tank warmer overnight - to boost his immune system and help him fight off the infection ?

did the vet suggest / consider nebulizing the antibiotic to get them DEADLY into her airways where they can act directly on the inflamed mucus ?
did the vet suggest using F10 nebulization , see above. or a combination of F10 and antibiotic nebulization ?

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
