Piece of shed in ear or simply membrane?

Hi there,

I have a question concerning my bearded dragon Dio. He is turning two years old this summer and has been a total joy. He has not shed this year (probably won't again?) and the last time he did shed was last year before his brumation phase.

I have ramped up his bathing since he came out of brumation (unrelated to the ear thingy), every 2-3 days now usually until he poops.

Here are pictures taken today:

He doesn't seem bothered and I definitely don't want to start poking in there or start unnecessarily get water into his ears in the bath (I very much try to avoid that, I like to gently splash it on his back though :D ).

I'm assuming it's nothing since it's on both sides, but maybe someone here has any input. I tried comparing it to older pictures but it's pretty hard to do as his ears kinda have a different shade in all of them.

Just emphasize: I'm talking about the light grey-ish spots on the inside of his ear, not any surrounding parts.

He will still shed, it will just be less frequent and more patchy than when he was little. It looks like his ear is starting to shed. It should come loose on it's own when it's ready. I wouldn't mess with it.

Thanks! I'll keep an eye on it :)

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
