Brumation question.

Hey all,
So I believe my beardie is going into brumation. He stopped eating and hides all day, for about a week. I took him to the vet and he doesn’t have parasites and there was nothing wrong with his blood work. He’s hiding, but his eyes aren’t closed. He is just hiding. So the past week I’ve shortened his light cycle because I assume he wants to brumate. If he’s not closing his eyes that much, is that normal? Or should he be asleep? He sleeps but on and off during the day, but is consistent with the hiding.

That sounds about right. They don't usually sleep the entire time. They are up some days, sleeping others, and can be kind of just spacey/groggy in between. I keep my lights on the same cycle but let my guy sleep in one of his hides if he wants. Just monitor his weight, offer some water now and then and let him do his thing.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
