My bearded dragon hasn't pooped in weeks.

Hello, my name is Charlie and i am very concerned about my bearded dragon as he has not pooped in at least a month.

He is about 1 year old and i feed him crickets, i struggle with getting him to eat his vegetables but theres always some in his tank. I bath him once a week, but that has become more frequent as i have read about what to do if bearded dragons don't poop, he tries to poop but nothing is coming out. Nothing i have done so far has worked and i am getting very concerned, his belly quite large especially near the vent. Wha can i do to help him? and also to get him to eat more vegetables.

Thanks Charlie

What do you have in place for his lighting? Do you have a good UVB light? What are the surface temps around his tank? Proper lighting has a direct effect on their digestion and overall health so it's important to make sure that's just right.

Can you post some photos of him? You can upload photos here https://www.beardeddragon.org/useruploads/ and post them to your thread using the XIMG button when you reply.

I suggest offering some extra hydration by dripping water on his nose to lick up. Hydration may help him move things along. You can also do the same with a few drops of olive oil and offer some baby food pumpkin, prunes, or applesauce. Just a little bit though because if he is impacted you don't want to wind up just adding to the buildup.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
