New beardie owner here! I've had my little guy for about a month. He's approximately 5 months old. About 8 inches long, Healthy eater. Pooper, active and alert (for what I can tell) has already shed once.

Kept in a ten gallon tank on repticarpet. Basking light is a flukers sun spot 100w mercury vapor bulb, uvb light Is a reptisun 5.0 13w
Basking temp ranges from 95 to 105/110
Cool side is usually in high 80s low 90s

Upon bringing him home I realized he was missing one of his long back toes. Perhaps it was bitten in the shop he was housed with multiple dragons, never has bled.... I soak him so its easier for him to shed. Just kind of worried cuz it's always been a bit discolored. I've been keeping a close eye on it just wanted a second opinion

The toe was probably bitten off by another beardie in the pet store. As for the discoloration, keep an eye on it to see if it spreads. If it doesn’t spread then I wouldn’t worry, if it does then it could be a sign of a problem. I would also recommend getting a 10.0 uvb instead of the 5.0 because it will be stronger and better for the beardie.

<<<< exchange for an Arcadia or Zoo Med or Exo Terra MVB , Flukers MVBs are very bad quality, poor quality quartz used that will leak UVC.

uvb light Is a reptisun 5.0 13w
<<<, too weak , at the very least exchange this for an Exo Terra 25W UVB200.

<<< NEVER HOTTER THAN 40 degC at the basking spot , see this for why : viewtopic.php?f=5&t=233516

<<< if the stump has healed , nothing to be done.
<<< if it's a fresh injury …. keep it clean and give the entire foot daily soaks in dilute Betadiene solution ( a shot glass is perfect for this ) , simply add Betadiene a few drops at a time until the solution looks like weak tea.

Photo so we can see if there is a problem.

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
