Rubbed nose on glass and had some redness

So, my older Bearded Dragon had a fairly rough time coming out of brumation, was lethargic and lost some weight, but with a whole bunch of hard work, he is finally looking like his old self again and is pumped full of energy and wants to eat daily. The only issue is that he may have too much energy, and has gotten into the habit of rubbing his nose on the glass. I have a plan to change this (take him out twice a day, move this rock that he tries to climb over and rubs his lil face) and noticed some redness/irritarion on his face. When I get him to stop doing this, will this heal on its own or do I need to put ointment on it (and if so, what kind)

It's good that you can let him out more often. That will help him burn some more energy. His energy level will decrease back to normal after a while though, this is just a phase. His nose doesn't look too bad at all so I'd guess it will heal on it's own pretty well. You could put some raw/unpasteurized honey on it to help protect it if you want to though.

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
