What size and weight should an 8 month old female dragon be? My girl is 13 1/2 " and +/-150grams. She is a rescue who didn't have the proper diet (diet is much better but not great, she will NOT eat salad UGH!! :banghead: ) light(UV) or heat for roughly the first 4 months. From what have read she very small for her age. Will she catch up or will she be a tiny dragon? Since I have been keeping track of her food intake and weight she has put on about 50grams from the 1st of march and has grown about an inch and a half.

150g for an 8 month old is quite small.

My Peppa at the same age was 330g.

She still has over a year of growth in her , she will never catch up on the missed growth but can still be a healthy adult ,who's just a bit smaller than her potential.

Keep the live insect protein and calcium coming , she needs these to grow and develop as well as plenty of UVA & UVB and proper heat and about 15hr of heat & light (and UV) per day. I would have her on two live feeds per day at her age and for another 6 months or so to help grow and develop.
Offer salad but if she refuses it don't obscess about the salad, simply gutload the crickets or roaches or locusts with the salad she wont eat.

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
