Tail rot? New owner.

Hello, I'm a new beardie owner. Owning a beardie has been something I've wanted since I was young and for my birthday my husband got everything on my wish list for this new baby that I have been waiting for the right time to get. We got him from Petco because I was in love how he was so chill.

Now he was in the middle of shedding when I got him a week and a few days ago. I think he is between 4-6 weeks.

I've brushed with a baby tooth brush and also soaked in betadine as well just in case. But I need other owners opinions.

does this look like tail rot?

That looks like maybe a nip from a tankmate. It doesn't look too bad at this point but I'd keep an eye on it. Look for the shriveled areas and very dark areas expanding up the tail which is a bad sign. If they stay the way they are then it isn't likely to cause a long term issue.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
