Hello everyone,
I'm a little concerned about my beardie, Doran. My wife and I messed up a while back (first dragon) and because of that, Doran has low calcium and bone degradation. We have taken her to the vet and got her some calcium syrup.
While at the vet, the specialist checked her for parasites and had to force her to poop. While he was rooting around in there, we asked the vet if Doran was a boy or girl (we thought boy at the time) and he told us Doran was a boy and showed me his testicles.
Well not a month later (today) I came home and there's an egg in her viv! Just the one. We had no idea she was pregnant and never saw any eggs in her abdomen (because apparently you can see them?)
We set up a bowl with some dirt for her to dig in, but she hasn't done anything yet.
I'm a little concerned because she already has calcium issues and the vet mentioned that making eggs can suck her of her calcium even more. Also, as far as I can tell, there is nothing else in her abdomen and she doesn't seem the least bit interested in digging.
Is it possible that she can have only 1 egg? She's never even seen another dragon so she definitely isn't pregnant or anything.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
