Hello, we have had our beardie for almost two years now and adopted him when he was an adult and don't know how old he is. He's going through a shed right now but there is an odd discoloration that I have never seen before. Please help?

Hi there, it almost looks like a burn. Is there anything hot he can get close to ? Having said that it does not look serious at all. A dab of raw unpasteurized honey would be fine on the spot. Just be sure you don't have loose bugs in the tank.

He is never near anything that could burn him. He has his heat lamp up top but it's been there for forever and hasn't ever done anything to him before... it almost looks like mold when you look at it up close, minus the fur that goes along with it.

Maybe just a very odd patch of shed. I don't think it's anything to worry about at all, it's the kind of thing to watch if it grows but I doubt it's any real health concern.

We as slaves worry constantly about our little masters. I agree with AHBD doesn't look that serious but, keep an eye on it. The honey will help tremendously.
