Her dislocation is a posterior dislocation in her right shoulder. It's a separation clearly seen on the xray...she wants to use her arm and seems to be healing better everyday but I must keep it taped to her side for support and incase of her hurting herself further. Not much else they can do.....I was surprised they didn't put it back in the socket like i would have hoped and then taped it...looks like scar tissue will develop and seal the deal.. :( I'm not gonna even attempt to align her little socket..she's receiving metacam for inflammation and pain
I guess it's just gonna permanently be out of the socket:( I got her wax worms and still no luck...

Well everyone, she has her good days and bad, eating again..have a tough time with her veggies..she's very picky..the last couple days I've noticed something strange with her poop. Particularly her urates. I've been dusting crickets as normal withe calcium and feedinget her as much as she can stand daily. Just recently started giving her 2 to 3 drops of liquid vitamins to replenish her about 3 days a week for about almost two weeks then I stopped cause she was acting weird...now she's fine but still a low to the ground crawl. Back ankle is still swollen and hasn't gone done or gotten worse..elbow from dislocated arm is swollen too..gone done slightly from shed...warm baths every other day for the past 12 days. But the problem now is her urates aren't as white as usual but the inside of it is what is l strange
..very gritty...almost like sand. And no there Is no sand in her cage. I'm wondering if it's from gutloading her crickets with flukers high quality feed...it's sort of a fine gritty yellowish substance and it's recent...seems like as soon as I started gutloading them with that her urates became like that. It's so weird. Why would it be in the urate though?? Any thoughts??

something like this happened to our 2mo girl today. she woke up & wasnt putting weight on her right arm, it was just limp & dragging. then 3 hrs later, same thing happened to left leg. didnt eat at all all day. took her to vet at 2p. vet was stumped as to what it was. said sometimes they get joint disease, worse cases, could be kidney issues. she gave her a dose of vitamins/calcium, and prescription for anti inflammatory & antibiotic. hopefully thatll do the trick, if not i have to f/up in 2 wks. i had to force feed her when we got home but she perked up after the shots/meds & eating a little. still having trouble with the limbs but she looked better otherwise. first picture is at dr (& ever since we got her a month ago) & second pic is after we got home. it cost $180 total, $62 for the exam & $118 for shots/prescriptions. thought my DH was going to kill me, but i had to take her in, couldnt let her suffer without trying to help. hope yours feels better !! good luck

Awe thank you for that, yeah it's sad to see her ankle so swollen and for what reason idk.m.the ex rays just showed tissue swelling... nothing to significant from what we could see there was no crystallization in the bone such as to suggest uric acid crystallizing and forming into gout sometimes that can happen after sustaining an injury but at her age at being less than a year old it's not very likely but it's also not impossible. Mine is currently on an anti-inflammatory as well but it doesn't seem to be taking down and need the swelling in her ankle. The injury that was sustained was just her dislocated arm so I don't know why her ankle on the same side is that way I really can't afford another doctor's visit I paid just about the same amount I wouldn't be able to go in again for another month. Thank you again the pictures look great she looks much happier

Gout! That was the other thing that was possible but unlikely. I couldn't remember that. Thanks ;) hope your baby feels better soon!! I had no idea it'd be like having another child!

Yes I didn't realize either how meticulous the whole process of owning one is how anything can go wrong overnight literally and the costs are well... very costly to say the least seeing that you have to see an exotic specialist. But she is an amazing little girl and as long as I can afford it she will be taken care of to the best of my ability. Now that I have every little thing set up and ready I think I will always own a bearded dragon.

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
