Brooklyn or NYC vet

When I first got my very ill rescue dragon, he saw 2 vets in NY who sucked, failed to notice life-threatening problems, and didn't give info that I learned later and could have helped. They both claimed to be qualified with exotics, but I think were much more experienced with mammals and birds. Does anyone know of a decent vet? I live in South Brooklyn and will travel anywhere within 45 min or an hour.

I don't have personal experience with vets in that area unfortunately. Port Jefferson animal hospital has a couple of exotics vets on staff who may be able to help. Might be worth giving them a call to see if they have a lot of experience with dragons. Could be a bit of a hike during rush hour though.

Otherwise this list usually offers some good recommendations

Hopefully someone else in the area can chime in with some personal experience to help out as well.

Hello, I have also been looking for a good reptile specialist in the NYC area, have you found one yet? I live in Queens, NY and also willing to drive about an hour out to see someone who truly specializes in reptiles, let me know if you have found / been to any. Thanks!

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
