Bathroom Schedule

Hello All,

I hope I am posting this in the right place. My beardie seems to only want to poop when on my carpete floor which makes bringing her out for floor time difficult. I have a soft texture pet play pen that I cut the top on and put her in but that is typically reserved for when we sit in my back patio. I am concerned because she goes days without defecating but then I will randomly leave the house for long hours and come back to a pile in her terrarium. But because this is built up I grow concerned. I don't want to have my carpet be the prime bathroom and putting a small portion of pet carpet in her terrarium didn't seem to fix the issue.

Any advice is welcomed! Just FYI there are no health concerns yet as she is upright, active, eats regularly and basks normally.

They do have their habits. The carpet is probably just a more comfortable spot to go on. You could try getting one of those industrial style welcome mats with the rubber backing. Then get her used to going on that and see how it goes after a while once that routine is built up. Those industrial mats are easy to clean off with a hose.

Interesting, would never have thought about that. I'll purchase one and see how it goes!

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
