Hi all!
Two nights ago my partner and I rescued a 1yo female. The previous owners barely handled her so she hates being picked up and barely tolerates head and body pats. We’ve been hand feeding her and slowly introducing her to pats while feeding, like a reward system kinda. This’ll be my partners first beardie and my second so its a bit of a learning curve
Does anyone have any tips so we can start picking her up and getting her more tame? Shes in desperate need of a bath and rid of stuck tail shed

Your dragon is going thru relocation stress- let her acclimate to her tank and her surroundings - hand feeding is good - it will start to build trust- put a piece of clothing w/ your smell on it in her hide- trust and patience- make sure your approaching from the side not overhead- her uvb should be a long tube fixture-- No coils please- they are inadequate-- basking temps should be 95-100.taken w/ a digital probe thermometer- if you have any questions or need more help please ask

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
