Hi! My beardie woke up from brumation a few days ago, and I want to make sure nothing is wrong. He is very active and he likes to run around my room, but when try to pick him he freaks out and starts thrashing. He is my first Bearded Dragon and pet reptile, and I want to know if this is normal or something is wrong. Thanks.

How old is your beardie? Brumation = ramping up for mating season, so depending on the age, you may be dealing with some raging hormones. Wanderlust, aggression, independence... Every dragon is unique in how they express themselves, but if they're big enough to be breeding, that might just explain the sudden behavior change.

Clue yourself up on how beardies express dominance and make sure your not accidentally coming off too strong. Also, don't scoop them up from above like a predator. Scoop from the side and keep you hand at their level.

He is a year and 3 months old. I always scoop from the side to avoid scaring him, and Ill look at Beardie breeding behaviors. Thanks for the help!

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
