Hi everyone. I've had a beardie for about a month. I got it as a new born, so its still VERY young. Lately since I've been feeding it, it does this weird body twist after eating. Its been since I fed it a piece of mango as a treat that was a little too big. It struggled to eat it.

For me I'm having trouble really understanding what you mean by a body twist without seeing it. If there is any way you could describe it further that might help. Are you seeing anything else abnormal such as stress marks or gaping mouth? Any indication of trouble breathing or a slow down in eating? Has there still be regular bowel movements? The more information the better when AHBD and Tracie are able to take a look at this. They are the best to try and help.

The substrate hes on what is it? We dont recommend any loose substrate for fear of impaction- especially sand and walnut shells or coconut --- any type of sharp substrate can really hurt the insides of your dragon -

Its weird it kinda wiggles its body like its doing the worm, other than that, its moving fine, eating fine, its quite active. It just almost moves like a snake does. Its hard to describe.

I would replace ASAP- wood chips if ingested can harm the insides of him --- I would replace w/ paper towels for now and get either some NON adhesive shelf liner or slated ceramic tile from your local home improvement store- how often is he doing the worm thing ? Can you record a video on youtube then post link in the message box --

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
