behaviour when petting

my last post on this forum was a bit heavy, but since then, i've gotten a new beardie who is much more healthy and an absolute sweetheart. however, i was just wondering if a beardie closing their eyes when they're being pet really does mean they're uncomfortable. gnomeo usually doesn't do it, but when he's lying down outside of his enclosure and ready to sleep, he'll let his eyes slowly flutter shut when i stroke him. i assume it's just because he's tired, but i don't want to stress him out right before he naps lol. sorry if this question sounds very stupid considering the situation

Closing of the eyes when petting is a sign of trust --- mine does it all the time

thanks for the replies :) i read the thread linked, and i think it's a very interesting take on the whole thing surrounding why they'll close on eye, ive only ever read that it's just something they do. it's definitely a confusing trait among many more

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
