Scared or Just Excited?

Hi there!

Ive had my juvenile bearded dragon for about a month, and hes about 6 months.

When I take him out, sometimes hell sit still on my lap or hands while other times he runs over the couch, hops down etc. toward his tank.

How do I know when hes used to me and how can I tell if hes getting stressed? I try to take him out a few times a day to get used to me but i dont want him to be upset.

Hi Selkie, with a young energetic dragon they are going to want to explore just like a child that wants to touch everything, run around, etc. That's totally normal. They settle down some as they got older but their " personality " + energy level will vary from beardie to beardie. Taking him out 1-2 X a day max is plenty and not right after a big meal.

I noticed that last night he's very inquisitive

Loved looking at cricket tank, climbing, licking lol.
