So my beardie usually darkens while he's basking. His basking spot is a branch that he can climb up to get however close to the light he wants. The temps range from 104-120 depending on where he is sitting under the light. Is this normal?

Hmm okay. I have a 100 watt light so I just ordered a 75 watt. And no his beard isn’t black it’s his back and under his belly. When he’s not basking he turns lighter

Hi. Turning dark while basking is normal. Its how they absorb more heat. How are you taking the temps? Yes 120 is too hot.

I have a digital thermometer on the wall and then I have the little reptitemp gun that I take the temperatures with also because the wall one seems to be a few degrees off

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
