Hi all ! im a new mama to a beardie . just got him two days ago and he has been running from one end of the tank to another scratching the glass and puffing up his beard while being black. As i know the black part is normal how do I get him to settle down and stop (what i assume) chasing his reflection?

You can put paper up on the walls of the tank to minimize reflection. Sometimes that helps. It could also be that he's curious and wants to explore outside of his tank. It's OK as long as you have a safe area for him and he is well supervised. He may also be protesting because something isn't right in the enclosure. It could be too exposed or perhaps the heat or UVB isn't quite right.
