Freaky Eye Bulge

Hi Everyone,
I saw my beardie doing this eye bulge behavior. I was able to get it on video:

Does that look normal?

It's normal. Is he shedding soon? He'll do that to get the shed off around his face.

He was shedding on his face/head area but that was a couple days ago.
Also, after i gave him a bath and made sure he was dry, put him back in his terrarium. He started to do that so maybe hes eye cleaning or washing? Not sure but i seen him do this a few times and it freaks me out :lol:

Yeah that's normal behavior but quite disconcerting the first time you see it. I remember the first time I saw Coop do that I cancelled all plans and sat by his tank for several hours thinking something was wrong. Thank you for the article. I saw him do this before i think i might of asked before but since he did it again I'm like ahh, i hope his eyes are not bothered somehow. Not sure but could some shedding get in his eyes?

Shed can get in their eyes sometimes but the bulging is likely due to a shedding eyelid or area right near the eye.
