Hi I'm new to owning a beardie. I did my research for such a long time and finally went out and got one. I have been super patient with him ( I think it's a him ) but he still seems to want nothing to do with me. Is there something else that I should be do or will he come around eventually?

They usually calm down and get used to you after a while. The time varies from dragon to dragon depending on their personality though, so be patient. How long have you had him? You may want to try hand feeding him a bit. Try offering him some black soldier fly larvae and see if that helps him bond with you.

Are you reaching in from above him? This is very frightening to some dragons. If so try putting your hand in at one end (opposite of where he is) and put you hand on the floor to show him you mean no harm. Do this about 10 minutes at a time twice a day until he sees that it is not a threat to him. Talk to him in a soft voice while you do it.
