My bearded dragon beaker has suddenly become upset when I try to handle him he used to love coming out to run around but now he is bearding with a dark beard and head bobbing at my hands, but when I get him out and he sees who I am he goes back to normal. Is this just because it’s mating season?

Thanks.

Could be ---- although I have a male dragon and he is not showing any kind of aggressive behavior like that --- is there another dragon in the house or has he seen his reflection in a mirror or in the tank ?
The head bobbing is mating related --- a sign of domiance

No other dragons, he has been surfing the glass closest to my bed which is the only glass that’s not covered in his tank. He did have a stressful situation a while ago (water inhalation) but has gone back to normal besides the aggression.

Also his lighting is 1 100 watt bulb 1 100 watt CHE in his basking area 1 50 Watt bulb to get his cool side temp up a reptisun 10.0 tube lamp T8 his basking side temp stays around 110 and his cool side 80. I measure with a temp gun.

What is his cool temp side running--- 80's is good -- his T 8 is inside the tank w/ NO plastic cover and is approx 8-10 inches from basking decor? Correct? The reflection if hes seeing one is not good - this will stress him out -- so any place where he can see his reflection you need to get rid of it -- I would invest in a digital probe thermometer from Petco or Petsmart for $6 to put on cool side of tank -- the CHE should be used for winter months -- I would either up the wattage on the basking bulb if your having to get basking temps to where they need to be -- 95-110 -- or raise the basking decor piece if you can

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
