yah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p :p
first before is start i wasn't sure weather to put this in feeding forum or here but i put it here
I finally made a smoothie for Dasher!
After looking up a human veggie smoothie i replaced the ingredients for things beardies can eat. So i was trying to feed Dasher it and when he tasted it he gulped down the rest!
here's the recipe if you guys want to try it:
3/4 cup of water
collard greens
mustard greens
sweet source(apples/other fruit)
celery(chopped)
blend until very very liquidy
no clumps
note: when done it may have some leftover veggie water, drain out and save
can feed the smoothie and veggie water to them
P.S-Dasher loves it but they all have different taste's sooooooooo...they might not likt htis combo
P.P.S-you can replace ingredients with what you and your beardie prefer
(apple juice100% no additives, kale, other veggies/fruit)
-dasher,ENJOY! :p

Beardie smoothies? Wow, I've never thought of that! Creative! I will definitely try it; we have a VitaMix blender, which should do the job well. Do you feed it by eye dropper or put it in a bowl? Budo won't drink still water; I don't know if he would drink smoothie from a bowl either. But I'll try. Maybe if I put it in his salad bowl he'd try it.

i usually do water w/eye droper and i did smoothie with it too, or you can cover your finger in it and they(dasher at least)licked it off.

Id recommend making a batch, but adding vitamins and softbodied worms and freezing them in an icecube tray.
That way one batch lasts a long while and you have some 'emergancy' food for when your dragon goes on a hunger strike.

Hm, that sounds like a good thing for a sick dragon, or for trying to get some extra hydration. I would give it a shot, except Blaze won't eat or drink like that. I have tried to give her baby food and she won't touch hit (I had some bee pollen mixed in.. trying to kick an RI). She refuses to drink, no matter what I try - unless I force feed her water or medicine. Force feeding her stresses her out too bad to give her a smoothie. If she ever starts drinking or eating stuff like this, I will certainly try it. Freezing it in ice cubes is a fantastic idea.

have you tried weting your finger w/ water and holding it to his lips?
they should lick it an when they taste the water the tongue comes out for more, at least that's what i did to make Dasher start drinking.

Oh yeah, I still do this occasionally to see if she will pick it up. I've tried using a dropper, pouring a slight stream in front of her, dropping water onto her nose, running the tap while she is in the bath, splashing the water around a bit in the bath, etc, etc, etc.. she just won't drink. I guess she doesn't need to.

The one and only time I saw her drink, she drank from a small stream from a cup in the bath and it was after I returned from being away for about 5 days. She must not have gotten the baths she needed while I was gone. And then, she only drank a few sips. This was a few months ago already, too... She has good urates, so I don't sweat it.

Just FYI - it may just be the bee pollen yours does not like. I know mine hates it. I had made a smoothie for him (he was a rescue) and put bee pollen in it - i needed the jaws of life to get his mouth open. I eliminated the bee pollen and he became very enthusiastic about feeding time.

I would try just some straight baby food and see if she takes it that way.

I thought it might be, but I put it on top of her squash and she too it as readily as normal. The baby food was only a delivery system for the bee pollen (and was hoping I could give the reptaid this way, too..).
But anyways, I'm not trying to hijack his thread! Sorry!!

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
