I got Moro not long after getting Tombo. I just couldn't resist.
I don't have her exact hatch date, but we are just going to go with February 20th, 2019 since that's close enough!
She was hatched by Daichu dragons.

Shes a hypo leatherback witblit.
Her parents are:
het witblit - het hypo - leatherback
Het witblit - het hypo - leatherback

Here she is the day I got her:

And here is Gandalf now! :laughing6: (don't let her see I called her Gandalf...

Her colors have warmed up a bit as she's gotten older. She's not as pure white as she was as a baby. That's very typical with witblits. It's usually only the hypo zeros that stay white. However, I love her off-white warm tone.

She was just so stinking cute as a little baby!

Here she is a month or so later

Oh and one thing you should know about Moro, she has some weird poo fetish. I kid you not, this girl is so lazy, she will just poop right underneath herself basking, and sit in it. In fact, for 3 months straight she would ONLY poo on her basking rock. ONLY! No where else. So sorry, most of her early pics have poop in them....

Here she is a month or so later in her new tank:

And this is the start of her Gandalf phase... around July 2019

I really think it all started after a bath scare we had. I will link the thread here as it's quite a story:
Bath Scare

She really doesn't eat much insects, she loves her salad. Has from day 1. And she's not fat or overweight, she just tends to keep her food in her throat when she eats, and I think this has caused it to stretch over time.

I will update this with her weights just like Tombos.

Which ones in particular? I think now she looks normal, besides her fat ol' beard lol.

Here is a picture of her this morning..

I love the look that Moro gives. Reminds me of Tampi. It's like they're mad at the world for disturbing their slumber. Haha

Moro's baby pics are so cute Haha. I agree with the different shaped head comment up above but only as a baby and it might just be the photo/morph coloration or something but her head looked so big and round. Gorgeous beardies! I've always had a love for the lighter colored dragons like moro. I'd use the proper morph name but it always evades me Haha. I didn't shop for a specific morph(didn't really know there was such a thing) but I'm happy with Pogo! I cant wait to see how the colors evolve with age. I've been reading your viv construction post I have to start constructing a new viv for my beard-o soon!

Well this is what Moro thinks of you all making fun of her head..

:laughing6:

Yeah, I do suppose her head was a bit weird shapped when she was young. I think mainly it was the short "snout" unless you guys were seeing something different.

Thanks for checking out my DIY thread. I responded to your PM :)

I mean not to offend dearest Moro! :p
And I think you hit the nail on the head, I would say it was definitely the short snout! Makes her head look a lil chonky!

Haha yeah thats what I figured. I think it was mainly the angle of the pic, but she did have quite a smaller stout head when she was smaller. I'm pretty sure she was only around 6 weeks when I got her from Dachiu.

BeardedDragonSteve wrote:Most of the ones on the rock maybe its just the angle.

Yeah I think it was mainly the angles, but she did have a bit different of a shape to her head in the beginning.

She probably does still but her massive gandalf beard distracts from it LOL!

Lot's of pictures incoming

Moro has been acting a bit lazy/lethargic lately. So I decided it might be good for her to get out of her tank and explore around a bit. Hopefully some activity would liven her up.

Well it did a little bit, she explored a bit, but I had left Suki's tank open (it's on the floor) and once Suki saw Moro, Suki bolted out of her tank and started exploring too. She made a couple quick runs towards Moro, but always stopped a few inches shy. I was very cautious with her due to what happened with her and Mei last time.

Anyways, If you hadn't seen my post in photo expressions, Suki is going through a bit of a bad hair day.

I don't think i've ever seen a face explosion quite like that one LOL.

Moro with Suki in the background, right before she darted out of her tank:

I had mentioned it in the past, but Moro's tail gets really dark when she's alert, or stressed. I got some good pictures of it this time though. She's alert, you can tell by the arched tail up in the air.

Almost black

Pretty interesting.

And on the topic of interesting, Mei thinks she is a snake. She has a favorite position, and it's coiled up like this:

Mei's beard color is really starting to pop out of no where. Was not expecting coloring on her beard like this (click on it to enlarge it, shows better.)

Anyways, that's all the pics for today. Tombo is doing fine but he's still a shedding mess.

Since Tombo got no Pic love last night, I guess he felt left out because this morning I saw him like this, and had to take a picture.

That's how he slept all night and how I found him this morning LOL. Either he's pouting, or he's trying to tell me his food dish is empty. Either way, it's pouting haha.

Suki finished up her shed by the time I got home. I've never had a dragon shed where the shed skin had so much color to it. Her pattern and darkness is completely visible in the shed skin. I'll have to get a picture of it if anyone is actually interested.

But what good is shedding if you don't show off your new skin. Here is Suki in her new skin:

I've got to say, you've got some seriously pretty and personable dragons. I'm joining the Moro fan club - love her Gandalf-the-Whiteness and that dark tail she has going on. Looks like she's a sparkler that burned down a bit! And Tombo, of course, is a very handsome boy. Can't let him feel left out!

Thank you much!
Well I just wish Moro would act a bit more normal. Her beard concerns me a bit, and her general laziness concerns me a bit too. Pair that with the fact that she hasn't been growing as fast as Tombo, and the beardie parent in me starts to worry lol.

But, I did everyones monthly weigh ins today. All I can say is... WOW Tombo....
Moro gained some good weight too, I'm very happy about that. And Suki and Mei both gained quite a bit too. They are almost caught up to Moro and they are 4 months younger than her..

Anyway here is their growth chart:
Image

A 126g gain for Tombo in 1 month.........
A 51g gain for Moro in 1 month
A 62g gain for Suki in 1 month
A 55g gain for Mei in 1 month

But... a 126g gain for Tombo...... Boy O boy I'm thinking it might be time to cut his feeders down..

Oh yeah, And I measured Tombo - 18 and a half inches. Pretty fat for 18 and a half IMO.

Tombo's a beast 😱 crazy to think he could gain more than any two of your other 3 combined! Does he eat his veggies readily or do you have to work for it?
