March 26th is the day we brought Spike home. My 7 year old son picked her out at our local Exotic pet store and named her Spike. She was in an enclosure with other dragons around her size and away from the smaller ones. We were told that the babies she was in with were moved because 'they were growing faster than the rest'. Spike ran right to the front of the glass and started scratching when my son walked by. Needless to say, she got his attention and we took her home. She had a full body shed 3 days off getting her home, too. ('She' does look female (I looked when we brought her home, but not since) Spike is now, roughly 3 months old and weighs 31g at 9 inches long.
We have had some set backs with her lights, which you guys have so graciously helped me with, and her lack of eating for a little while due to her relocation stress, but she is definitely a hearty eater now. BSFL being her favorite.

When we first brought her home:

Thank you!
I am so thankful that I found this forum. It is nice to know that if I have a question, someone is here to help.
Plus, I like the fact that I am not the only one who enjoys looking at pictures!

Thank you. :)
I feel like I take too many pictures of her, but then I think, can you really have too many pictures of your babies? I do it to my kids and dogs too; even our ducks! Haha.

Someone has been quite active in her tank, running back and forth like a crazy little lizard. I figured she would wear herself out, but I was wrong, she kept up for a good 10 minutes or so. I took her out, thinking maybe she wanted some attention. She hopped right onto my desk and into the window right behind it. She stretched as far she she could, but was still a little bit too small to be able to see outside, while sitting on the window ledge.
This was the solution:

She hasn't budged for a good while, other than when the sun goes behind the clouds. (Too chilling to actually take her out right now)

Spike really liked her green mesh hammock that my oldest picked out at the pet store for her. But once I read that she could get her little claws stuck in it, I took it out. My son wasn't too happy about it as he spent his own allowance money on the first hammock for her. (He is 7) So, he asked if we could get her a different one, instead; one safer for her. Of course I agreed! We hopped on Etsy and found a lady in Ohio that makes hammocks for bearded dragons. This is the one he picked out for her! (The suction cups are temporary as the hammock doesn't come with anything to hang it up with, but she doesn't weigh a whole lot right now either, and it isn't very high so she can just climb on from the floor of her tank. I will be upgrading to hooks here soon though.)

I haven't seen a hammock like that before. :) That is pretty awesome!

Amazon :D
I'm unsure the risk of injury with these, but the holes are large enough to not snag toes and they're surprisingly extremely easy to clean and dry very fast. My oldest basks/sleeps on her long hammock bridge

Hm. I looked on Amazon before I ordered the camo one. I am surprised I didn't see it.
Looks pretty awesome, though.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
