Saphira likes it when I sing to him. No song in particular. Just random words with random notes in random keys, sing about how awesome he is and how much I love him. He will watch me and move his head to the sides
He likes John Denver. No seriously he does. Thank God he's a Country Lizard.
He likes to rub the tip of his face on the little hairs on the back of my neck. He apparently closes his eyes when he does this.
He likes his carrots mushy. I was freezing his veggies so I could keep them fresh longer. They get mushy, but he seems to like them better that way.
He likes to show off. He will climb the cloths in my closet (I have not door on my closet it.) to the very top, or he likes to climb up the side of the bed when I'm laying on it. If he knows that I have been watching him he will bob his head up and down as if saying "yeah. you know I'm a scary fire breathing dragon hooman! Fear me!"
He likes it when I build him forts for him to take naps in. His personal favorite is my old pajama pants that are flannel. It is actually a mix of some super absorbent rags and my pj pants. His also likes blanket forts and and old Easter baskets.
He likes the color red.
He likes me to kiss his beard. Not going to lie he actually demands it sometimes. It's cute.
He likes to watch me play video games on the computer.
He likes to watch Madam Secretary and Game of Thrones. (He actually perks up when he sees the dragons)
He likes me.
I'm writing this because I suffer from sever social anxiety. I'm a functioning member of society, and I'm not, well I am, but I'm not a weirdo. I'm doing my best to fight it, but sometimes it wins. Today was a bad day for me and I broke down and cried, actually sobbed would have been a better analogy. Saphira was running around doing his thing. The Poodle came to comfort me cause that's what Dogs do. <3 Cooper, but Saphira was the one that surprised me. He climbed up the side of the bed and crawled on my fore arm and watched me. He wasn't cold. In fact his little warm belly was comforting. But he just watched me. Sometimes I think that while he is a lizard and his emotional range is nothing even remotely comparable to even stick... he does something like this. Sometimes I think that they (Beardies) may have some perception that we're unaware of. Cooper helped the most, but that's because he is soft and fluffy and snugly. Phira though wouldn't let me put him back in his house for hours after I had calmed down. He helped me do dishes and laundry and it was a warmish day outside so we even when out and soaked up some sun. Long may our Dragons live.
