I gave both my 10 week old bearded dragons full size cricketts and it has seemed to impact one of my dragons severely!!! There is a huge lump on his back by the tail. Will not move his back legs at all. I have been trying to syring feed him applesauce with olive oil as well as warm baths and gently rubbing his under belly.. I have been doing this for 2 days now and there is no improvement. I also went out and purchased a heating pad for the bottom of aquarium. I have googled every method and watched all youtube videos but nothing pertains to a baby bearded dragon.. Can anyone please help me with this issue?????

Hello,

Crickets need to be smaller than the space between the eyes to help avoid impaction.
It is going to be hard to get that cleared out but not impossible. Continue with using the
sugar free applesauce but add some canned pumpkin or pureed prunes mixed with a drop
or two of olive or coconut oil to be syringed for him, a couple of times per day. Avoid mineral
oil! Also, avoid all solid foods for awhile until you can get this successfully passed through.
When using the heating pad, be sure to keep a towel in between him & the heating pad & have
it set on low so it doesn't get too warm. Try to keep him well hydrated. Hopefully with repeated
soft foods with the natural foods that act as a laxative, you will start to see some improvement
real soon.
If it isn't stressing him too much you can also continue with the baths, too.

Let us know how he is doing.

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
