Hi! I just painted my nails (black) and my (adult) beardie mistook them for food and bit my finger and in the process ingested some of the polish as well, what do I do??? Will she be ok?
beardie ate some nail polish??

That is a first on here!
Did she lick the polish & literally ingest some?
You can try getting some extra oral fluids into her & also if you have activated charcoal you
can try to get that into her too if she is acting ill. Is her beard normal color or darker in color?

When she bit me her teeth scraped off a little bit of my polish (I would say less than a square fourth of an inch) and then (I assume) she swallowed it. She seems to be acting mostly normal so far.Drache613":1qnsshlu said:

I have accidentally ingested acetone by attempting to remove a hair from my mouth while I still had gloves on in my chemistry lab and it was nasty. (Bad lab technique, I was like “I’m such an *****, omg” when I did it. It was first year general chemistry though so I was a rookie lab rat.) It was a very tiny amount but that stuff didn’t taste nice at all. I was totally fine, I just won’t do it again as I know touching your face in lab is a bad idea. ? (I’m a third year student now, I still drop and break glassware all the time unfortunately.)
