I suppose anything is possible -- try changing it out and see what she does-- but something is off on one of them--- but you do need a reflector that is a MUST-- w/ no reflector the rays are bouncing all over the tank and shes not going to get the proper UVB she needs - the reflectors are to make the rays focus downward so shes getting them and it intensifies them -- so something is defective some where - its going to be trial and error to figure out the cause--- you could just redo the whole set up new fixture and different bulb and go from there
