How to store a stool sample?

My dragon's vet asked me to bring in a stool sample, but they forgot to give me a container or instructions! Of course it is Easter and vet isn't open. Isn't that always the way of things?

So, I am going to store the stool sample in the screw-top medicine bottle that his meds came in. Should I label with time/date and refrigerate? Freeze? Leave on counter? Does anyone here know?

You can put it in that or I use a paper towel to clean it up in the tank then take the whole paper towel place in a Ziploc bag and put in the fridge- it will be fine for 24 hrs -- tell them its 24 hrs or however long you got the sample from the dragon
