Hi there! I have a mumma dragon 5yrs old who has recently laid. She did not hold up well after it all and has gone super skinny, like a skeleton really, super dehydrated, fat pads sunken, wrinkly skin, eyes not right, the works. Her shed didn’t come off and she has lost 2 toes. ALL 4 feet and legs are swollen and she is stiff everywhere and yet she is still chasing her food. 2x vets later, who are ‘specialists’ said she is absolutely calcium deficient and one said she had too much protein. They both said she does not have any indication of MBD thank goodness and her X-rays are great but I am thinking they are wrong from her toes curling up. They said it all points to calcium. I am dunking her crickets in a liquid calcium 3 times a week but she won’t have any more than about 5. She eats her greens and I put a multi vitamin in there as well. I’ve tried the slush mixture too add calcium to greens as well but she refuses it. She is the sweetest girl but I fear she won’t come back from this. What else can I try? I’m in Australia. Thought maybe getting that fluckers repti boost sent over. I have 5 adult beardies and have owned them for 12 years without issue. She is the first one that is not healthy. She had calcium all through her pregnancy but they really depleted her I think! She did lay 4 times all up 49 good eggs. There were a bunch of slugs. Thank you for your time.

Females kinda have this issue. It’s good to keep supplying her with calcium. Maybe you should put calcium on her salads.

Hello,

So sorry your girl is having these issues. Do you have any pictures of your dragon,
along with your tank setup?
Which UVB are you using currently?

Hello,

I am so sorry that you lost her so suddenly. I know it is devastating to lose one, but I am
glad that she was not alone.
My sincere condolences, to you.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
